Producer and DJ Luis Campos has launched a professional music career at the age of 14 in his childhood home Sao Paulo, Brazil. A small collection of records was his first inspiration to pick up his first set of Technics turntables. Throughout the first decade of his career he held residencies at some of the country’s most revered clubs, including Sao Paulo's Limelight, Victoria Pub, New QG, Gitana among others. Luis's talents were also showcased at Brazil’s most prestigious music festivals such as Skol Beats and the Love Parade attended by nearly 200,000 people. the release of the cd AMP (35.000 people) and innumerous Trance festivals around the country. DJ Luis was part of the band Influx since its foundation in 1996, in which he collaborated with until 1999 when he decided to live in NYC to continue his solo DJ career. In New York sice 2000, DJ Luis and collaborators founded the Dreamcatcher studios party organization and Psycheground, the only weekly Psytrance party in the city of New York. Psycheground still is one of the most respected names in progressive and Trance parties. His best gigs in New York were Omnidance Festival, TDC Festival, Gaian Mind in Philly, Psycheground at the Fat Black Pussy Cat, club Spirit, Cielo, club Exit, Avalon World, Life and Pacha. Having established a solid reputation the dance floor DJ Luis has become highly respected for his energetic groundbreaking sets that flows from dark to melodic mixed together in his signature blend. Currently he is a resident DJ with Tsunami, the oldest and most respected Psytrance party organization in America. He is also working on his new project Warpdrive which explores different sub genders of house music. The project gathers an enormous amount of ideas and professionalism creating a collection of the finest house tracks that contains a touch of tribal, progressive beats and minimal techno. Intent to the new technology, the production is being done with Emagic Logic Audio, Fruity Loops, Reason and Ableton Live. For some performances DJ Luis also incorporates the use of Serato Scratch and Stanton Final Scratch systems allowing him to play with vinyl keeping his music in the digital form. His popularity as both a DJ and a person is highlighted by the wide array of sub genders of music he has experimented with during the past twenty years. Creativity, excitement and enthusiasm seem to have no limits when it comes to DJ’ing.
